Multicultural Queensland Month (MQM) is an annual statewide initiative held each August to recognise and promote Queensland’s cultural diversity.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved and celebrate the richness of our multicultural society through vibrant multicultural events, storytelling, performances and learning.
Queensland’s cultural diversity is one of our greatest assets—let’s celebrate the stories that connect us.
Multicultural Queensland Month 2025
The theme, “One Queensland, many stories”, came to life through the voices and actions of people across Queensland. Whether you shared your story, attended a community event, joined one of our webinars or hosted your own event – together we celebrated Queensland’s cultural diversity.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Multicultural Queensland Month 2025. Your involvement helps build a more inclusive and harmonious Queensland.
Although this year’s celebrations have concluded, there are still many ways and opportunities to continue recognising and supporting our diverse communities all year round. Learn more about the rich cultural diversity that shape our state and take practical actions to help build a Queensland where everyone feels welcome and valued.
