The 2025 Brisbane Festival Community Engagement Program is proudly supported by the Queensland Government. Highlights include:

The Moorooka Block Party

The much-loved Moorooka Block Party is back for its fourth year, bringing an electrifying mix of culture, music, and community to the Brisbane Festival Serenades program.

Don’t miss this vibrant event featuring an exceptional line-up of Australia’s leading First Nations and globally inspired artists on Saturday 13 September 2025, at Peggs Park, Moorooka.

Craig & Karl: Walk This Way

Discover Brisbane like never before with Craig & Karl: Walk This Way, a city-wide artistic transformation of Brisbane’s walking bridges.

This unique initiative invites you to engage with the city’s architecture through self-guided and guided walking tours, free entertainment, and interactive workshops.

The activation will be running from Friday 5 to Saturday 27 September 2025, across various Brisbane locations.

Baleen Moondjan

Renowned creative Stephen Page presents his first major work since leaving Bangarra Dance Theatre with Baleen Moondjan.

Inspired by a story passed down by his grandmother from the Ngugi/Nunukul/Moondjan people of Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island), this powerful performance explores the sacred connection between baleen whales and Communities’ totemic traditions.

The program includes a First Nations Capacity Building session and events at the Quandamooka Arts and Cultural Centre (QUAMPI). Performances will take place from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 September 2025 at The Landing, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane.
