Multicultural Queensland Month at the Ekka

There are so many events, activities and experiences at the EKKA that you can join to celebrate Multicultural Queensland Month:

  • Visit the Multicultural Plaza Music Stage and enjoy culturally diverse entertainment while trying some international foods at the Gourmet Plaza.
  • Celebrate diversity through the joy of dance inside the Royal International Convention Centre. Each morning from 10:00am to 12:00pm, an experienced community instructor will teach you new moves.
  • Every afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Royal International Convention Centre join our hands-on cultural workshops to create an artwork to take home. There will be a different workshop daily that explores connections, traditions and stories.
  • Celebrate 25 years of recognition by learning more about the history and important role of Australian South Sea Islanders in Queensland by visiting the Australian South Sea Islander display located in the Royal International Convention Centre.
