Community Service Announcement: Queensland women can help shape women’s economic security

Posted: 27 November 2025
Plans are underway to create Queensland’s first women’s economic security strategy, and women and girls are invited to have their say.

The strategy is about giving women the support they need to succeed. It’s focused on improving job opportunities, fair pay, safety, education and housing.

The best way to make a difference is by listening to people with knowledge, experience and ideas to share. The strategy will be developed with women, for women, in partnership with community and industry leaders.

That’s why the Queensland Government is asking women and girls aged 16 and over to share their experiences and ideas by filling out a survey to help shape the future of women throughout the state.

The online survey is a chance for Queensland women to share the barriers they have seen or experienced to their economic security, and what is working to build a more secure future.

Employers can also share ideas and successes on how to build more inclusive workplaces, support women at work and help them grow in their careers.

The survey is open until February 2026 and participation is encouraged among:

  • Queensland women and girls aged 16 and over
  • Queensland peak bodies, industry groups, community groups or organisations.

Share your experiences and help shape the future of women’s economic security at women.qld.gov.au/taking-action/economic-security.
