AFC Women’s Asia Cup Australia 2026 ready for fans to kick off

Celebrating its 50th year, the 2026 AFC Women’s Asia Cup has just announced that all matches are now scheduled and ready for fans to join the historic tournament.

Showcasing world-class football up close and personal in Australia, the 2026 tournament will hold 27 matches across 21 days in March of next year and features teams from 12 nations in a celebration of culture, passion and fearless football.

The AFC Women’s Asia Cup kicked off in Hong Kong in 1975 and laid the foundations for women’s football in Australia and across Asia.
In its 50th year, the 2026 tournament pays tribute to the trailblazers of that inaugural tournament, including the First Matildas, whose grit and determination created the platform for today’s game.

From heavyweight clashes to inspiring underdog stories, the 2026 tournament will showcase the football skills as the best women in the world come head-to-head to show the world their pride and passion as they play for their country.

The Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism are committed to helping women and girls thrive wherever they live and achieve equality.

Tournaments like the AFC Women's Asia Cup in Queensland amplify and showcase to all Queenslanders what girls and women can achieve with a stable and supportive environment is created so they can prosper and achieve greatness.

Matches are being played in Perth, Gold Coast and Paramatta and offer the chance to see world-class football by some of the most talented women footballers in the world, in a celebration of excellence and culture.

The following matches are being held at Gold Coast Stadium, Robina in March 2026.

  • 2 March: Korea Republic v IR Iran
  • 5 March: Philippines v Korea Republic
  • 5 March: IR Iran v Australia
  • 8 March: IR Iran v Philippines
  • 19 March: Play Off Game 1
  • 19 March: Play Off Game 2
