The Royal Queensland Show, fondly known as the EKKA, is a beloved Queensland institution that’s been celebrating agriculture and its importance in the lives of Queenslanders for 149 years.
The Queensland Government Pavilion has long been a staple of the EKKA, showcasing the government's initiatives, services and contributions to the state's growth and development.
Snap a souvenir at our photo booth
This year, our team will be there, with a free photo booth where visitors can grab a photograph with their family and friends.
Director-General Nat Wilde said the takeaway photo souvenir has been a department tradition for a decade with some visitors returning year after year to collect their EKKA keepsake.
“It’s great to see so many familiar faces – this year’s photo theme is “My bright future is …” and what that looks like for women’s economic security,” Nat said.
“When you visit, we’ll be encouraging you to sign up to learn more about how you can help shape Queensland’s first Women’s Economic Security Strategy.
“The team really enjoys connecting with everyone at the EKKA – not only can they share the department's great work, but they’re also keen to hear your stories and genuinely care about the issues that matter to you.”
