Chatting to Mitch Amidy from Emus Talking, it became clear that this was no ordinary business.

Emus Talking was the brainchild of Selena Stewart, a proud Yuin woman who owns the business, with Mitch Amidy, a Wiradjuri man, serving as the Founding Director and Creative Lead. Together, they bring over 30 years of combined experience in human resources, corporate services, Indigenous engagement, and strategic planning. Their vision? To create a flexible, solutions-based service that supports businesses in navigating challenges and unlocking their full potential.

“We wanted to do more than just provide advice,” Mitch explained. “We wanted to roll up our sleeves and work alongside businesses, offering practical, hands-on support to help them thrive.”

At its core, Emus Talking is a one-stop shop for businesses seeking tailored solutions. From HR support, including policies and procedures, to governance advice, grant writing, and business planning, the team excels at the "back-end" work that often goes unnoticed but is critical to success.
