KJH Artworks is a thriving Indigenous-owned enterprise transforming creativity into cultural connection, community support, and lasting change.
Founded in 2018 by Kylie Hill, a proud Kalkadoon, Waanyi and Quandamooka woman whose personal journey has shaped the heart and purpose of her business.
What began as an outlet for healing has grown into a respected family-run enterprise delivering graphic design, digital signage, Aboriginal cultural and heritage mapping, and Aboriginal support services and programs to clients across Australia and beyond.
For Kylie, however, KJH Artworks represents far more than professional success.
After experiencing significant personal loss, Kylie channelled her energy into creativity, culture, and community. Through art and business, she found a pathway to healing while creating opportunities to share Aboriginal stories, knowledge, and perspectives.
Today, the Goodna-based business stands as a powerful example of how Indigenous entrepreneurship can create both economic and social impact.
"KJH Artworks was built on the values of family, culture and community," Kylie said. "Everything we do is about creating positive outcomes and ensuring people feel connected, supported and seen."
The business has earned a reputation for delivering culturally authentic and high-quality services, supporting organisations to better understand and engage with Aboriginal culture through creative design and heritage mapping projects. Each piece of work reflects a commitment to preserving and celebrating First Nations stories while fostering greater cultural awareness.
Yet Kylie's contribution extends well beyond her client work.
Within her community, she is widely recognised for her generosity and commitment to helping others by investing in local sporting groups, sponsoring cricket, softball and hockey teams and helping young people participate in activities that build confidence, belonging and teamwork.
When families face financial hardship, Kylie often steps in quietly to assist with registration fees and other costs, ensuring children and community members are not excluded from opportunities because of financial barriers.
These acts of kindness have become a defining feature of the business.
"Community has always looked after me, so I believe it's important to give back whenever I can," Kylie said. "Sometimes a small gesture can make a big difference in someone's life."
Her focus on supporting others has created a ripple effect throughout the communities she serves, inspiring people to embrace generosity, compassion, and connection.
